Walker, Ermis nuptials exchanged
Rebecca Nicole Walker and Luke Anthony Ermis were married May 5 at the Crooked Creek Country Club in Electra.
Eddie Crum officiated the double-ring ceremony.
Rebecca is the daughter of Bret and Heather Walker of Pecos and Brad and Toyah Gholson of Iowa Park. Luke is the son of Marlene and the late Pete Ermis of Valley View.
Given in marriage by her mother and father, the bride wore a white satin strapless gown tied at the waist with a white satin sash. The fitted waist flowed to a pick-up skirt. A single white veil of bridal illusion with pencil edging was secured to a band of seed pearls and rhinestones. White cowgirl boots completed the ensemble.
She carried a bouquet of pink and green roses, hot pink gerbera daisies and purple alstromeria.
Zarah Sergison of San Francisco was maid of honor for the bride. Bridesmaids were Megan Ermis of Valley View, Megan Austin of Wichita Falls and Lindsay Myers of Mankins.
The bridal attendants were dressed identically in green strapless gowns, tied at the waist with brown sashes. Each wore brown twisted “X” Boots with green tops, and carried a hand-tied bouquet of green and pink roses and hot pink gerbera daisies.
Haven Sanders of Iowa Park was flower girl. She wore a light pink and green sleeveless dress, complete with brown boots with pink tops.
Cody Myers of Mankins was best man for the groom. Groomsmen were Pete and Jake Ermis of Valley View and Dan Minderman of Iowa Park.
Ushers were Heath Gholson and Steven Gholson, both of Iowa Park, Chad Gilbert of Electra and Travis Walker of Pecos.
Billy Gholson of Iowa Park was ring bearer.
“Inside Your Heaven” was played for the wedding party processional. The bride was ascorted down the aisle to “Lost In This Moment.”
During the ceremony, Lindsey Myers sang “Some People.”
The couple exchanged vows before an archway decorated with green and pink flowers, flanked by bales of hay.
Pink rose petals were scattered down the aisle for the bride’s entrance.
A reception to honor the couple was held at the country club following the ceremony.
The bride’s cake was a four-tiered vanilla confection, decorated with lace icing.
The groom’s table held an Italian cream cake with chocolate covered strawberries.
The reception hall was decorated with green and pink balloons and candles, and small boots that held arrangements of green and pink flowers.
The bride is a graduate of Pecos High School and is employed by IESI in Iowa Park.
The groom is a graduate of Iowa Park High School and is self-employed at Ermis Ditching.
Following a honeymoon trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple have made their home in Valley View.
