Barnes, Guthals wed in June 29 ceremony
Melissa June Barnes and David Louis Guthals were married June 29 at Seelye Mansion in Abilene, Kansas. Pastor Eric Noris of Real Life Church officiated the ceremony.

Parents of the bride are Don and Jean Barnes of Iowa Park. Parents of the groom are Don and Helen Guthals of Hope.

The bride wore an ivory lace tea-length gown.

Kailen Emley, daughter of the bride, served as maid of honor, and Casey Jane Guthals, daughter of the groom, was bridesmaid. Mirah Dawn Scott served as flower girl.

Richard Wartel served as best man. Groomsman was Ryan Emley, son of the bride. Lee Thomas Barnes, nephew of the bride, served as usher.

Following the ceremony, guests were taken by the Abilene Historic Trolley to ride the Parker Carousel and then delivered to the Abilene Civic Center.

The bride is a 1985 graduate of Iowa Park High School. She is owner of Premiere Events, a full service event planning business serving all of Kansas and parts of Missouri and Nebraska.

The groom is owner of All Star Midwest Entertainment. He is an announcer for Manhattan Broadcast and Kansas State University Athletics.

The couple are at home in Manhattan.
