City council schedules run-off election

At Monday’s called meeting of the Iowa Park City Council, Mayor Ray Schultz and Council Member Lori Shierry were declared winners in the May 7 election and a run-off election between Carmen Lozipone and Brad Wynn for Place 2 was ordered.
Schultz and Shierry were sworn in by CIty Secretary Janice Newman, and the council elected Sherrie Williams to serve as Mayor Pro tem.
The run-off election was set for June 18, with Francis Leath as Election Judge, and Maxie Britt, Alternate Judge.
Dan Tompkins was reappointed Municipal Court Judge. Members of the Planning and Zoning Commission, Board of Adjustment, EDC (4A) Board, and CDC (4B) Board were all reappointed and administered the oath of office.
City Manager Jerry Flemming, Municipal Court Clerk Karla Neal, Animal Control Officer Melissa Britt, and all department heads were given the oath of office.
The boards and commissions are made up of the following members:
City of Iowa Park Planning & Zoning Commission - Barry Watson, Chad Witherspoon, Chris Schlaud, Jonathan Clubb, and David Padgett.
City of Iowa Park Board of Adjustment - Carmen Lozipone, Cindy Tracy, Kelly Riggs, Mike Price, David Padgett, and alternates Gary Bradford, Max Henderson, and Sherry LIttle.
Iowa Park Economic Development (4A) Corporation - Glena Via, Max Henderson, Phil Johnson, Randy Gibson, and Mike Price.
Iowa Park Community Development (4B) Corporation - Arlene Eaton, Carey Waters, Dolores Hamilton, Heath Hodges, Jeff Watts, and Randy Catlin.
