133 IPHS seniors to graduate Saturday night

Saturday night, one hundred and thirty-three seniors at Iowa Park High School will receive their diplomas during ceremonies at Memorial Auditorium in Wichita Falls.
Seniors in the graduating class of 2018 will begin filing into the auditorium at 7:30 p.m. as the processional is played by Ruth Edwards.
Madison Lindstrom, Co-Valedictorian, will give the invocation followed by Posting of Colors by the IPHS Junior ROTC Honor Guard. Hunter Bagley and Danielle Templeton will lead the Pledge of Allegiance, and the national anthem will be presented by Caitlyn Whisnand.
Derek Hostas, Salutatorian, will welcome those attending. Julie Green, 2017/2018 Student Body President, will present the Class Key to Erin Fairchild, 2018/2019 Student Body President. Senior Thoughts will be given by Julie Green, Michael Gumm, and Chloe Partridge.
IPHS Principal Leah Russell will present the Class of 2018 to Iowa Park CISD Superintendent Steve Moody, and Jeff Rhoades, President of the Iowa Park CISD Board of Education will present the diplomas.
The Farewell Address will be presented by Co-Valedictorians Chloe Partridge and Madison Lindstrom, followed by the school song led by Chloe Partridge and Derek Hostas. The benediction will be given by Ryan McIlroy.
Project Graduation will begin at 11 p.m. in the high school gym and last until 5 a.m.
This event gives graduating seniors the opportunity to celebrate in a fun and safe environment. It is a tobacco, drug and alcohol free event that follows graduation exercises.
According to Kendra Davis, event coordinator, there will be inflatables, a photo booth, games and lots of prizes. Breakfast will be served by parents of the seniors.
