Regular city council meeting Monday
The Iowa Park City Council will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the council chambers of city hall, 103 E. Cash St.
The agenda includes the following:
-Randy Alsup will address the council to discuss issues with his utility bill;
-A public hearing will be held to determine whether a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier 2-door coupe at 910 S. Jackson should be abated in accordance with the junked vehicle regulations outlined in the city’s Code of Ordinances;
-Approve appointments of individuals to fill vacancies on the city’s Board of Adjustment;
-Consider an ordinance approving a negotiated resolution between the Atmos Cities Steering Committee and the Atmos Energy Corporation, Mid-Tex Division regarding the company’s 2013 annual Rate Review Mechanism filing in all cities exercising original jurisdiction;
-Consider amending the Code of Ordinances to add a water-based commercial water use rate category;
-Consider amending the Code of Ordinances to include bore cuts as a method of installing utilities within public right-of-ways and dedicated easements within the city; requiring a permit to trench or bore cut any public right-of-way including alleys and easements; and establishing a fee for utility construction within the right-of-ways, alleys and easements; and
-Discuss and consider authorizing the pursuit of funding from the 4B
Community Development Corporation for an electronic information sign.
