Hawk Band continues marching excellence
The Iowa Park High School Hawk Band continued its tradition of excellence this past weekend, earning a Division I rating at the UIL Region II Marching Contest at Memorial Stadium in Wichita Falls.
It is the 30th consecutive Division I rating for the Hawk Band, under the direction of Greg Miller.
“Judges were very complimentary about the band’s performance,” said Miller of Saturday’s contest. “We were very pleased and proud of their performance. We received many compliments from others in attendance at the contest. We would also like to thank all the people from Iowa Park that showed up to support the students. I even got goose bumps, hearing the fans when the band was coming on the field, so I know the students felt the support as well.”
