Fay Duane Brott
1927 - 2017

Fay Duane Brott, 89, passed away Monday, Jan. 2, in Austin.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the chapel at Dutton Funeral Home with Rev. Gary House officiating.

Visitation will be from 9 AM until service time in the chapel at the funeral home.
Graveside services will follow at Highland Cemetery.

Fay was born July 11, 1927, in Crawford, NE., to Harry Vincent and Viola Fay (Auer) Brott. He was a veteran, serving in the US Navy as a pipe fitter aboard the USS Laws (DD-558) and the USS Klondike (AD-22). He worked in the 82d Mission Support Group, 982d Civil Engineering Squadron at Sheppard Air Force Base, where he retired and was then a shuttle bus driver on base. He was a member of First Christian Church of Iowa Park. He was involved in Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, the Masonic Lodge, the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Maskat Shriners.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Judson, Rufus, Edwin, Vincent, Clifford, Emmitt, Roy David, Charles, and Benny; and sister, Ruth.

Survivors include his wife, Dessie Catherine Brott; son, David of Corpus Christi; daughter, Kathy Franks of Austin; two step-grandchildren; two grandsons; and a great-grandson.

The family suggest memorials are be made to the Salvation Army.
