Carl Flatt, 70, of Edmond, OK. passed away Thursday, Dec. 31, in Oklahoma City, OK.
His wife, Carol June Flatt, 69, of Edmond, OK. passed away Thursday, Jan. 8, in Chickasha, OK.
Joint funeral services were held at Dutton Funeral Home Chapel Saturday for the couple, with Rev. Jarrell Kuykendall officiating. Burial was in Highland Cemetery.
Mr. Flatt was born to Roy Ulyssess Flatt and Veola Whitlock Flatt on March 25, 1938 in Wichita Falls. He attended Wichita Falls public schools graduating in 1956 and attended Texas Tech University. He served in the Army National Guard and was called to active duty for 2 years. After he returned to Wichita Falls to work for Hodges White Truck Company and later became general manager there. He was a graduate of the Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol Academy and was stationed in Dalhart. He and Carol June Talley were married July 11, 1964. He was a member of the Red River Dirt Riders.
Mrs. Flatt was born February 3, 1939 in Wichita Falls, to A.B. “Bink” and Juanita Dewitt Talley. She was a member of the National Society of Colonial Dames.
The couple were also members of the Oaktree Assembly of God Church of Edmond, OK.
Survivors include their son Carlan of Edmond; and three grandsons.
Carol is also survived by a sister, Marilyn Cockrum of Iowa Park.
