Marjorie Marie (Wiss) Speed
1920 - 2013

Marjorie Speed, 92, passed away Friday, Jan. 18, in Wichita Falls.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at First Baptist Chapel with Rev. Rod Payne and Rev. Howard Chapman officiating. Burial was held in Crestview Cemetery
Marjorie was born May 8, 1920 to Orbria and Louisa (Chubb) Wiss in St. Joseph, MO. She spent her early years in the Kansas City, KS. area except for one year spent in Washington, D.C. during World War II. On May 24, 1958 she married Robert A. Speed, Jr. and they moved to Wichita Falls. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she and her husband served in the Deaf Ministry and later in the Homebound Ministry.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, in 1990.

Survivors include two sons, John Robert Speed of Farmers Branch and Dr. James Allen Speed of Iowa Park; two grandchildren; and a great grandson.
