Howard Baggett, 76, passed away Jan. 22, 2012 in Wichita Falls.
Memorial services were held Wednesday, Jan. 25, at Lunn’s Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jack Jordan of First Baptist Church of Kamay officiating.
He was born March, 16, 1935 to Frank Baggett and Jewel (Dyess) Baggett in Belton. He and Peggy Seal were married July 3, 1964 in Wichita Falls. He served in the United States Navy as a seaman in the Korean Conflict. A resident in this area since 1957, he worked for almost 30 years as a self-employed contractor. He was an accomplished musician entertained regularly at jamborees, senior citizen centers, and fundraisers. He appeared on the Joe Brown show annually to sing his “Fish Fry” song. He was also the song leader at the First Baptist Church in Kamay.
Howard was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include his wife Peggy of Wichita Falls; his children, Jan Waldmuller, and Terry and Andy Lowry, all of Wichita Falls, and Russell “Rusty” Barnes of Holliday; a brother, Sam Baggett of Iowa Park; and sisters Mary Sue Puckett of Belton, Edwina Reagan of Big Spring, Faye Vance of Bedford, and Mae Rutherford of Somerset, KY; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
