Mary “Tena” Denney
1942 - 2014

Mary E. “Tena” Denney, 71, of Wichita Falls, passed away Friday, Jan. 31.

A celebration of life was held Tuesday, at the First Baptist Church of Holliday with Rev. Darryl Sewell and Kevin Tiaden officiating.

Interment followed at the Holliday Cemetery in Holliday.

Tena was born to Earnest and Ina Stewart on Feb. 16, 1942, in Wichita Falls. On May 16, 1959, she married Eugene “Red” Denney. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Holliday and St. Paul Lutheran Church in Wichita Falls. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and her pet companion.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 19 years, Red Denney; a daughter, Cynthia; and a sister, Betty Willis.

Tena is survived by her children, Larry Gene Denney of Wichita Falls, Clint Alan Denney of Washington, OK, Lori Ann Taylor, Timmy Jay Denney, Jimmy Ray Denney, all of Holliday, and Ronald Wayne Denney of Florida; a sister, Margaret Dorner of Iowa Park; 23 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

For those desiring, the family suggest memorial contributions be sent to Hospice of Wichita Falls.
