Pearl Tucker
1932 - 2016

Lona Pearl Tucker, age 84, passed away Monday, February 8, 2016, in Wichita Falls.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. today in the Pavilion at Highland Cemetery with Rev. Ron Redding, Pastor, Sunnyside Baptist Church, Wichita Falls, officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home.

Pearl was born Jan. 1, 1932, in Bomarton, Baylor County, to Henry L. Latham and Lona P. Rainwater Latham and grew up on a farm in Baylor County. She played basketball in school and later worked in variety stores and cafes. She married Bobby Joe Tucker Jan. 9, 1954, and retired from Barwise Junior High School cafeteria. Her hobbies included her children and grandchildren, bowling and watching the Mavericks basketball games.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Hazel Wicker and Francis Moore; three brothers, Harold Latham, Houston Latham and Eugene Latham; and a son, Gary L. Tucker.

Survivors include her husband of Wichita Falls; son, M. Lynn Tucker of Iowa Park; sister, Inez Gregg of Iowa Park; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

The family suggest memorials be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls or the Boys and Girls Club of Wichita Falls.
