Kenneth Ray Knowles
1939 - 2009

Kenneth Ray Knowles, 69, died Friday, Feb. 6, in Wichita Falls.

A celebration of his life was held Tuesday at Lamar Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Lawson officiating. Interment was held Wednesday at Coleman Cemetery in Coleman.

Mr. Knowles was born Feb. 10, 1939, in Fry, to William Henry and Pearlie Golden (Fuller) Knowles. He was an alumnus of Texas Tech. He started Central Bails Bonds 31 years ago, and it has grown to 43 locations. He was a member of BCI, Better Business Bureau, Professional Bondsmen of Texas, and was instrumental in the formation of the Professional Bail Agents of the United States. He was involved in many community organizations and was a member of Thornberry Baptist Church.
Mr. Knowles was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Lois Pearl Harkins, and Bobby Jean Winton; a brother, William “Son” Knowles II: a grandson, Nevin Christopher; and wife, Roberta Fern.

Survivors include Vera Knowles of Wichita Falls; two daughters, Angela Faye Burgher of Iowa Park, and Kristy Renee of Fort Worth; a son Kent Aaron of Iowa Park; a sister, Patsy Knowles Cox Mustang, OK.; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
