Ruby Elizabeth Matthews
1918 - 2009

Ruby Elizabeth Matthews, 90, passed away Monday, Jan. 26, in Wichita Falls.

Funeral services were held Friday in the chapel of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home with her grandsons, Ronnie Matthews Jr., and Robb Matthews, officiating.

Interment followed in Crestview Memorial Park.

A daughter of the late Jesse Lee Emma (Everett) Bills, she was born Feb. 1, 1918, in Wichita Falls. She and Clarence N. Matthews were married March 6, 1937. He preceded her in death Feb. 21, 1997. She was a lifelong resident of Wichita Falls, and a longtime seamstress.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Ronnie A. Matthews Sr.

Survivors include a son, Gerald N. of Wichita Falls; a sister, Margie Faulkner of Iowa Park; a brother, Alvin Bills of Red Bluff, CA.; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
