Raymond C. “Pete” Shook
1934 - 2008

Raymond C. “Pete” Shook, 73, of Iowa Park, formerly of Lake Diversion, died Wednesday, Feb. 6, in Electra.

Memorial services were held at Dutton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dennis Neal of Faith Baptist Church of Iowa Park officiating.

Mr. Shook was born April 23, 1934, in Mansfield, OK., to William and Shirley Shook. He and Kathleen Wood were married Nov. 21, 1956. He served as Fire Chief for the Iowa Park Volunteer Fire Department for numerous years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Christine Smith.

Survivors include his wife of Iowa Park; two daughters, Rhonda Baumer of Iowa Park, and Charlotte Shawver of Rule; two sons, Raymond of Fredrick, OK., and Charles “Chuck” of Electra; four sisters, Wyllene Boardman of Oklahoma City, OK., Joyce Nichols of Midwest City, OK., T.K. Kohen of Yukon, OK., and Martha Hutchinson of Alexandria, VA.; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family suggest memorials be made to the Iowa Park Volunteer Fire Department, Box 404, Iowa Park, Tx. 76367.
