Joann Moer, 89, passed away on Friday, Feb. 9.
A rosary was held Wednesday, followed by a Vigil service at Owens and Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls.
The Funeral Liturgy will be held at 2 p.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Jeff Poirot, celebrant. Rite of Committal will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Joann was born on Oct. 18, 1928, to Clyde and Bonnie (Howell) Neely in Kaufman. After losing her parents at a young age, she was raised by her aunt Kate in Wichita Falls, where she attended school and graduated from Wichita Falls High School. She married Joe Moer. He passed away July 4, 1987. She worked for many years at Pleasant Valley Water District until her retirement. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wichita Falls. She enjoyed volunteering her time making heart pillows at the hospital, and working in her yard.
Along with her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her two brothers, Johnny D. Neely and Charles Neely.
Survivors include her son, David Moer; her daughter, Marianne Reaves; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
