Pansy Faye ‘Pan’ Bowerman

Pansy Faye “Pan” Dewhitt Bowerman, 73, of Wichita Falls, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 1, in Victoria.
A private celebration of life was held.
Pan was born Oct. 30, 1933 in Wichita Falls, to the late Harold Odell Dewhitt and Arvella Mearle (Cummins) Dewhitt. As a child she lived in Grand Prairie, Kamay, Holiday, and Antelope. Her family then moved to Wichita Falls, where she graduated from Wichita Falls High School in 1956. While in nursing school, she met and married James Bowerman in 1957. The couple raised their family in Iowa Park. In 1969 she returned to nursing school and became a RN. She worked as a nurse in the Wichita Falls area for many years. She and Jim also owned and operated Country Greetings Card and Gift Shop. She enjoyed playing tennis, gardening, and helping others.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, David Jerry Dewhitt and Eddie Marvin Dewhitt; and her husband.
Survivors include children, Chris Bowerman and Laura Ramsey, both of Wichita Falls, Jenny Leggett of Victoria; and three granddaughters.
