Patricia J. Mednansky, 73, of Carrollton, GA., died Saturday, Feb. 11, at her home.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. today at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park.

Patty was born June 28, 1938, in Marysville, MO., to William and Agnes Adkins Nicholas. She and Edward Mednansky were married in 1984, in Wichita Falls. She retired after 23 years of service as a secretary from CertainTeed. She was a member of the University United Methodist Church. She donated her time knitting lap robes and shawls for Catholic charities. After retirement she and her husband enjoyed traveling. They moved from Iowa Park to Georgia in July 2011.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Kris of Auburn, GA.; twin sister, Peggy Mills of Topeka, KS.; a brother, Gary Nicholas of Erie, PA.; a granddaughter; and a great-grandson.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to Tranquility Hospice, c/o Wellstar Community Hospital, 4040 Hospital Dr., Austell, GA. 30106.
