Evelyn Juanita Pope Pyle, 86, died Sunday, Feb. 13, in Iowa Park.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at Dutton Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ted Gray officiating. Burial was at Wilbarger Memorial Cemetery, Vernon.

Evelyn was born July 26, 1924 in Thackerville, OK., to Trammell Clayton and Sarah Cornelia (Martindale) Pope. She and Reid Pyle were married Dec. 10, 1942, in New York City, NY. She was a homemaker and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Iowa Park. She had been a resident of Iowa Park for 25 years, and had moved to the Iowa Park area from Lake Waurika, OK.

Her parents; husband; and a son, Gerald Pyle preceded her in death.

She is survived by her children, Pat Goss of Iowa Park, Linda Johnson of Orange Grove, Rita White of Wichita Falls and Gary Pyle of Chattanooga, OK.; two sisters, Ada Mae Grant of Mangum, OK. and Zelma Dowdy of Lake Waurika, OK.; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
