Tommie Kay (Buckholt)
Mashburn

1936 - 2016

Tommie Kay (Buckholt) Mashburn, 79, passed away Friday, Feb. 12, in Iowa Park.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Rick Davis and Rev. Don Pellikan officiating.

Graveside services followed at the Quanah Cemetery in Quanah, under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home.

Tommie was born Aug. 18, 1936, to Oscar and Lois (Pruitt) Buckholt. She married Billy Charles Mashburn on Sept. 17, 1955 in Quanah. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and also a member of the Eastern Star. She worked for the Tom Burnett Library for several years and retired in 2000 from the Texas Department of Human Services where she worked for over 10 years. She enjoyed reading and was a seamstress.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and three sisters, Dorothy, Viola, and Veta.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Billy Mashburn of Iowa Park; children, Bruce Mashburn of Chandler, Neta Hearne of Arlington, Paula Bodine of Whitewright, and Deanna Yeakley of Iowa Park; one sister, Ginger Pechacek of Quanah; and 11 grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to the First United Methodist Church of Iowa Park.
