Dorothy Birdwell
1914 - 2009
Dorothy Birdwell, 94, a longtime resident of Kamay, passed away Saturday, Feb. 21.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at Kamay Baptist Church with Mike Mitchell of Denison officiating. Burial was held in Crestview Memorial Park.
Mrs. Birdwell was born in Will’s Point Dec. 11, 1914. She and J.W,. Birdwell were married more than 51 years. She was a homemaker and an active community member. Her hobbies included sewing, knitting, eggery, playing bridge, and bingo. She was a member of Kamay Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband; and two grandsons, Ross Alex Beisch and John Stephen Phillips.
Survivors include three daughters, Johnette Phillips and Anna Phillps, both of Kamay, and Ginger Beisch of Wichita Falls; a son, Mike of Holliday; eight grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be made to Kamay Baptist Church on her behalf.
