Ronald Dale Elerick
1946-2009
Ronald Dale Elerick, 62, died Sunday, February 22, 2009 in Wichita Falls. Graveside service with military honors will be held 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at Crestview Memorial Park directed by Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.
Mr. Elerick was born December 11, 1946, in Hillsboro, OR, to Jack and Lora Mae Elerick. He served our country in the United States Army during the Viet Nam War.
He married Margaret Ann Pipkin September 25, 1999 in Las Vegas, NV. He was a police officer in Carrizo Springs, TX and El Campo, TX; a sheriff’s deputy in Huntsville, TX; officer for the State of Texas Parks and Wildlife Department; and retired as a correctional officer at Allred Prison Unit. His passion was driving racecars at Red River Speedway. He was a member of First Methodist Church of Iowa Park.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jack Elerick; mother, Lora Mae Obbink; sister, Marlene Sapp; and brother, Jack Elerick.
Survivors include his loving wife, Margaret Elerick of Wichita Falls; children and their spouses, Clinton and Cassie Witthar of Boone, IA, Ronnie and Dana Elerick of Boling, TX, and Julie Perez and Jeremy Good of Iowa Park; and seven grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Wichita Falls.
