Mattie Louise Krottinger
1924 - 2009

Mattie Louise Krottinger, 84, was given her eternal victory in Christ on Sunday, February 22, 2009, in Wichita Falls. Funeral services were Wednesday, February 25, 2009, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church officiated by Reverend Dale Snyder.

Interment followed at Crestview Memorial Park directed by Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.

Louise was born November 18, 1924, in Hillsboro, TX, to Riley C. and Elberta (Haynes) Woods. She married the love of her life, Leonard Krottinger, August 3, 1947, in Wichita Falls and together they raised three wonderful children. Mrs. Krottinger spent her early years as a homemaker raising her children and being involved in their lives. As they grew up she became more involved as co-owner of Sunnyside Grocery with her husband. She was a member of Wichita County Home Demonstration Club. She was an active member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church where she participated in the Young At Heart, Crafters, as well as the mid-week cooking team in its beginning.

Mrs. Krottinger is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Leonard Krottinger in 2007; parents, Riley and Elberta Woods; and sister, Reba Quate.

Survivors include her three devoted children and their spouses, Linda and Glenn Thorman of Archer County, TX, Brenda and Randy Worley of Iowa Park, Leonard Jay and Sandy Krottinger of Wichita Falls; sister, Doris Young of Hurst, TX; and grandchildren, Will Thorman, Clint Thorman, Tiffany Hernandez, Clayton Worley, and Jay Paul Krottinger; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2009, at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church’s Music Fund.
