Bonnie Sue Owen, 75, the mother of Iowa Park’s Economic Development Director David Owen, of Wichita Falls, passed away Sunday, February 24.

Graveside services were held Wednesday in Hope Cemetery in Henrietta, with Jack Byas, nephew, officiating.

Mrs. Owen was born on July 6, 1937 in Ryan, OK., to Lillard Elmo and Cleatus Jewel (Lawyer) Thompson. She married Dave Owen on July 20, 1955 in Nocona.

Mrs. Owen was a partner in Bonnie’s Bouquets in Wichita Falls.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three sisters, Jean Byas, Bobbie Underwood and Eddie McLendon; and a great- grandson Cayden Owen.

Survivors include three sons, David, Steve (Bo), and Todd, all of Wichita Falls; two brothers, Bill Thompson and Cliff Thompson, both of Lake Worth; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
