Annetta F. Sherrod
1923 - 2012

Annetta F.Sherrod, 88, of Wichita Falls, died on Saturday, March 3.

Funeral service were held Tuesday, in the chapel of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home with Larry Suttle officiating.

Interment was held at Lakeview Cemetery.

A daughter of the late Stella (Jewell) and Benjamin McGehee, Annetta was born on Nov. 14, 1923, in Post. She worked as a telephone operator for Texas Tech Health Services in Lubbock, until her retirement in 1993. She then moved to Wichita Falls to be near her only grandchild.

Annetta was preceded in death by four brothers; and three sisters.

Survivors include:two daughters, Janis Propest of Iowa Park and Jo Griffin of Lubbock; and a granddaughter.

The family suggests memorials may be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4909 Johnson Road, Wichita Falls, TX 76310 or a local hospice organization of choice.
