Thomas Alva “T.A.” Parish, 63, of Iowa Park passed away Wednesday, March 9, in Hospice of Wichita Falls.

Services were held Saturday at Aulds Funeral Home of Electra with his brother-in-law, Rob Bridwell, officiating. Interment followed in the Electra Memorial Park under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

T.A. was born March 24, 1947, in Frederick, OK., to Otis Guy Parish and Willie Sue Ball Parish. He and Tracy Lynn Moore were married Nov. 26, 1997, in Wichita Falls. She preceded him in death on Jan. 30, 2008. He was a meat cutter from 1970 until 1988 and also was a welder throughout his life. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish and camp. He competed in sanctioned Bar B Q and Chili Cook Offs and loved to build smokers for others.

Survivors include a daughter, Shellie Bateman of Electra; two sons, Brent Parish and Kevin Parish, both of Electra; two sisters, Brenda Fowler of Iowa Park, and Renee Bridwell of Plainview; a brother, Guy Parish of Plainview; and eight grandchildren.
