Robert Wayne “Stoney” Stone, 76, of Burkburnett passed away Monday, March 14, in Wichita Falls.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today at the Owens & Brumley Funeral Home Chapel in Burkburnett with Rev. Joe Coombes of First Baptist Church in Burkburnett officiating. Interment will be held at Burkburnett Memorial Cemetery.

“Stoney” was the son of William F. and Nora L. (Scott) Stone. He was born Jan. 12, 1935, in Wichita Falls. He and Cleoda McCullough were married Oct. 24, 1968, in Burkburnett. He served in the United States Army. He was a glass packer for PPG 23 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife; four brothers; three sisters; his parents; and two grandchildren.

Survivors include three daughters, Linda Lee Brown and Ethel Boswell, both of Burkburnett, and Janet Shelley of Iowa Park; two sons, James and Don Potter, both of Burkburnett; a brother, Don of Wichita Falls; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
