Mildred Ruth (Stogner) Morrison, 91, passed away Sunday, March 16, in Iowa Park.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at First Assembly of God in Electra with Rev. Darwin Stroud, pastor, officiating.
Graveside services were held later that day at the Mountain Park Cemetery in Saint Jo, under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home.
Mrs. Morrison was born Oct. 12, 1916, in Montague County, to George Washington Stogner and Annis B. (Bailey) Stogner. She and William Lewis Morrison were married Nov. 3, 1934, in Gainesville. They were residents of Electra for 50 years. She was a member of the Organization of Women’s Ministries at First Assembly of God of Electra. She was a gardener and canned vegetables.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a son, Gene; three sisters, Nancy Mitchell, Irene Bailey, and Mary Opal Kite; and a brother, Oscar Stogner.
Survivors include a daughter, Gwen Latimer of Wichita Falls; a son, Kenny of Electra; a brother, Burl Stogner of Wichita Falls; a sister, Nora Miller of Gainsville; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
