Joe Michael Schochler, 61 of Iowa Park died Monday, March 17, in Iowa Park.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Highland Cemetery in Iowa Park with Rev. Glen Pearce, pastor First Baptist Church, officiating. Services are under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home of Iowa Park.

Joe was born October 4, 1946 in Olney, Illinois to N.J. and Mary Francis Schochler.

He served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. He married Laura Sasser February 28, 1999 in Iowa Park, Texas and has lived in Iowa Park for 9 years. He was a retired truck driver for Celadon Trucking Company.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Jana Schochler.

Joe is survived by his wife, Laura of Iowa Park; a son, Micheal Schochler of Hallsville, Texas; two daughters, Lisa Smith of Dallas, Texas and Dana Stephenson of Hallsville, Texas; nine grandchildren; a step-son, Eddie Lee Lynn of Iowa Park, Texas; a sister, Sue Ann Brooks Henderson, Texas and several nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials to Boy Scouts of America.
