Services were held at Dutton Funeral Home Monday.

He was born to Opal Chester Carver and Minnie Marie Murphy on Oct. 8, 1925, in Vigo Park. After graduating from high school in Tulia, he enlisted as a pilot in the Army Air Corp. After the death of his wife of 38 years, he married Helen Nipper, to whom he was married for 19 years.
