Lois C. Cash

Lois C. Cash, to most known as “Nanny,” was called home to be with her Lord on March 16, 2016, at the age of 100. She died at her home in Fort Stockton, Texas surrounded by her loving family.

Lois was born on August 11, 1915 in Bilby, Oklahoma to Homer & Elizabeth Conditt. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Alfred D. Cash, son William Bailey Cash, daughter-in-law Darlene Cash, sons-in-law Travis McDaniel and Freddy Joe Waldrep, 6 siblings and her granddaughter Rebecca (Flowers) DeLaCruz.

She is survived by her children, Madeline Waldrep of Fort Stockton, Texas, Elizabeth Smith and husband Robert of Phoenix, Arizona and Jimmy Cash and wife, Betty of Iowa Park, Texas. Lois was a grandmother to 13 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 30 great-great grandchildren. She was an aunt to numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

Visitation for family and friends was held beginning at 12:30 PM Monday, March 21, 2016 in the chapel at Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park with a Celebration of Life beginning at 2:00 pm with Rev. Ron Garrett of Phoenix, Arizona and Rev. Kevin Johnson of Fort Stockton, Texas, officiating. Interment followed in Highland Cemetery, Iowa Park, under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home.
