Bobby Wesley Fox
1923 - 2008
Bobby Wesley Fox, age 85, went home to be with his Lord Monday, March 24, 2008 in Wichita Falls, Texas, after a lengthy illness.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2008 at Lakeview Church of God with Rev. Ted Gray and Rev. Clifton McFadden, officiating. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home.

Bobby was born February 26, 1923 in Ranger, Texas to Wesley Plemon and Ruby Lee Fox. He and Norma Jean Brown were married April 15, 1946 in Iowa Park, Texas. He served for 3 Ω years in the US Army during WWII.

He was a lifelong oil industry worker. He worked for Gulf Oil Company until 1958 when he founded Fox Well Service Company. In 1969 he and his brother-in-law, Jerald Brown, started Brown and Fox Oil Company. He retired in June of 1988. He was a member of Lakeview Church of God. Bobby participated in church by playing his guitar for many years. He enjoyed spending time at his cabin home in Eagle Nest, New Mexico and touring in his motor coach during his retirement years. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Mavericks, Dallas Cowboys and the Houston Astros. He followed the Iowa Park Hawks during his children’s schools years and was very instrumental in helping build the present high school football stadium.

His parents and a sister, Kathryn Snell preceded him in death.

The greatest joy of his life was his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Norma Jean (Brown) Fox of Iowa Park; two daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Rev. Raymond Pettitt of Douglas, Georgia and Janet Loman and Edward Lindquist of Galveston, Texas; son, Robin Fox of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Ryan Pettitt, Wesley and wife, Katie Loman, Andrea and husband Andrew Pettett and Winston Loman; great grandchildren, DeZshawn Pettitt, Layla Belle Loman, Nolan Pettitt, Georgie Rose Loman, Seth Pettett and Ava Kate Loman; a brother Thurman Fox of Sulphur Springs, Texas and several nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorials to Hospice of Wichita Falls, P.O. Box 4804 Wichita Falls, TX 76308 or Lakeview Church of God Ladies Ministries, Iowa Park, TX 76367.
The family will receive friends Thursday, March 27, 2008 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Dutton Funeral Home Chapel.
