Mary Dell “Marydell” McNeil
1919 - 2008
Mary Dell “Marydell” McNeil, 88, passed away Saturday, March 22, in Wichita Falls.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, March 26, in Mexia, with Rev. Dennis Neal of Iowa Park, officiating. Services were under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home.
Mrs. McNeil was born Dec. 18, 1919, in Limestone County, to Grover and Virgie McEachern. She and Homer McNeil were married Dec. 23, 1938, in Mexia. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church and a former member of Central Baptist Church of Pampa. She was involved in the American Business Women’s Association, Business Women’s Association of Texas, Rebekah Lodge, and was a Girl Scout Leader two years, and a sponsor of Theta Rho. She was also a member of the Bowling Associsation and prior to her retirement she was the owner and operator of a produce business in Pampa for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three daughters, Virginia Lea, Sandra Gay, and Reba Jane; a sister, Irene Hulce; and a great-granddaughter.
Survivors include a daughter, Gene Brown of Wichita Falls; a son, Jack of Taylor; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
