Helen Nadine Nix, 75, of Wichita Falls, passed away Tuesday, March 25.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 28, at City View Baptist Church with Rev. Micky Miller, pastor of Mankins Baptist Church, and Rev. Harvey E. McMurry, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park.
Mrs. Nix was born to the late H.E. and Faye (Carter) Davis, May 28, 1932, in Caney, OK. She grew up on her family’s farm and played basketball in high school. She and Edward Nix were married November 6, 1948. in Helenreid. She was a nurse and a member of the Clown Arounds, the AMHR and AMHA (Hose Associations). She was also a member of City View Baptist Church over 20 years, and served as the hostess committee chairman and the church choir. She enjoyed camping, ceramics, arts and crafts and sewing.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Paul E. and Bobby J. Davis.
Survivors include her husband of Wichita Falls; four children, Tressa Boyd, Gayla Scoughton, and Alana, all of Iowa Park, and Rusty of Wichita Falls; three sisters, Frances Jones of Bennington, OK., Dorothy Daniels of Odessa, and Betty Sue Simpson of Northfield; ; five brothers, Junior Davis of Shamrock, Sonny Davis of Rogue River, OR., Jackie Don Davis of Mansfield, Kenneth Davis of White Deer and Danny Davis of Wichita Falls; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The family suggest memorials be made to the H.E. and Faye Davis Memorial Fund, 3903 Highway 83, Wellington, Tx. 79095.
