Robert ‘R.J’ Justin Butts, 98, died Friday, March 27, in Wichita Falls.

Funeral services were held Monday at First Baptist Church with Rev. Glen Pearce, pastor, officiating.

Burial was held at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home.

Mr. Butts was born Sept. 4, 1910 in May, to James and Victoria Butts. He and Marjorie Russell were married December 25, 1934 in Cisco. She preceded him in death March 4, 2009. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Rural Letter Carrier’s Association and the Masonic Lodge #713 AF&AM. He was a retired rural mail carrier for the US Postal Service.

He is also preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his children, Dr. Russell Butts of Albuquerque, N. M., Barbara Littlefield of Mansfield, and Roberta Fenner of Fort Worth; a brother, Jesse Butts of Phoenix, AR.; a sister, Ovella Eldridge of Breckenridge; eight grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
