Jerry Hadley
1930 - 2089

Jerry Hadley, 78, passed away Wednesday, March 26, in Wichita Falls.

Graveside services were held Saturday in Antelope Cemetery.

Mr. Hadley was born January 29, 1930, in Antelope, to the late John Paul and Katie (Barry) Hadley. He and Christine Sternadel Winter were married January 29, 1988, in Wichita Falls. He attended the School For the Blind in Austin. He operated the snack bar at the Wichita County Court House 37 years until his retirement in 1991. He played stand-up bass, fiddle, trumpet, piano, and sang with many local bands. He also had his own band. He enjoyed Western Swing music and was an avid fan of the Texas Longhorns and Texas Rangers.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Kathryn Hadley; and a brother, John Paul, Jr.

Survivors include his wife of Wichita Falls; three daughters, Tacey of Eau Clair, WI., Connie Haehn of Brownwood, and Sandra Stansbury of Rockwall; five sons, John Winter of Seymour, David Winter of Archer City, William Winter of Windthorst, Joseph Winter of Iowa Park, and Lloyd Winter of Wichita Falls; 25 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
