Adela Callaway
1924 - 2015

Adele Callaway, 90, of Temple, formerly of Iowa Park, recently passed away.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Anchor of Hope Baptist Church in Belton with Sam Callaway officiating.

Burial will be held Friday at Highland Cemetery.

Mrs. Callaway was born Aug. 1, 1924, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Sam Harary and Molly (Tawil) Harary. She married Paul Callaway Sept. 30, 1943, in Pine Camp, N.Y. She was a member of the Anchor of Hope Baptist Church in Belton.

She was preceded in death by her husband Feb. 12, 1984; her parents; a brother, Murray Harary; two sisters, Estelle Harary nd Syd Harary; and one granddaughter, Lori Harary.

Survivors include two sons, Sam Callaway of Temple, and Bill Callaway of Choctaw, OK.; a daughter, Susan Trotter of Wichita Falls; three sisters, Myra Friedland, and Margie Schwartz, both of Brooklyn, N.Y. and Florence Shayo of Jerusalem, Israel; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
