Ruby Lee Craig Hale
1916 - 2014

Ruby Lee Craig Hale, 97, of Wichita Falls, passed away Wednesday, April 2.

Funeral Services was held Saturday, April 5, at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harvey McMurry officiating.

Interment will follow in the Court of Flowers section of Crestview Memorial Park.

Mrs. Hale was born Sept. 13, 1916, in Vera, to the late Walter Charles Barnes and Mamie (Murphree) Barnes. She moved to Wichita Falls at a young age and was a near lifelong resident. She married Jim O. Craig in 1934, in Wichita Falls and he preceded her death.

She later married George Hale who also preceded her.

Ruby was a member of the old Westside Baptist Church in Wichita Falls. She retired from Wichita General Hospital in 1982, where she worked in the dietary department for many years. She loved to sing.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; and grandchildren, Linda Montanõ and Steven Jim Craig.

Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Jean Tucker of Pagosa Springs, CO; son, Don Craig of Iowa Park; sister, Evelyn Core of Camaillo, CA; brother, Gene Cendroski of Graham; seven grandchildren; numerous great -grandchildren; and great-great -grandchildren.

In lieu of usual remembrances, the family suggests memorial donations to Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4909 Johnson Rd, 76310.
