Gene Autry Williams

IOWA PARK -- Gene Autry Williams, age 75, died Friday, April 6, 2012 in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Funeral services were held at 10 A.M. Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at Dutton Funeral Home Chapel, with Mr. Chris Klien, a nephew, officiating. Burial was in Highland Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home of Iowa Park.

Gene was born December 7, 1936 in Sherman, Texas to Jack and Gerline Simmons Williams. He was a self-employed painter. He and Patricia Ann Woolf were married January 3, 1959 in Lockett, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army and lived most of his life in Iowa Park. His parents, wife and brother, Jack Edward Williams, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his children, Greg Williams and wife, Janice, of Rogers, Arkansas and Renee Hensley of Iowa Park, Texas; sister, Martha Ray, of Iowa Park; brother, Jimmie Williams, Wichita Falls; grandchildren, Russell Williams and Amber Moenning of Rogers, Arkansas, Scott Williams and Ashley of Wichita Falls, and Caleb Hensley of Denton, Texas; great grandsons, Aubri Martin and Landon Martin.

Visitation was held at the funeral home from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. on Monday, April 9, 2012. Memorials are suggested to American Hospice, Wichita Falls, or the Alzheimers Association.
