Joseph S. Blizard

Joseph S. Blizard, 80, of Iowa Park, passed away Friday, April 6, 2007.
Graveside services were held Wednesday at Highland Cemetery with Rev. Ted Gray officiating.

Mr. Blizard was a native of Tarrant County, born on May 17, 1926 in Mansfield, and a resident of Iowa Park since 1987. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church and was a retired contractor. He served in the US Army during WWII. Mr. Blizard married Ruth Templin on February 4, 1984 and she preceded him in death in 2001.

He is survived by a daughter Debbie Gilmore of Iowa Park; two sons Ronnie of Galveston and Charles of Missouri; a daughter, Linda Jo King of Missouri; two sisters, Ella Mae Kemp of Mansfield; and Lilly Ruth Hutchinson of Gurdon, AR; three brothers, C.W. Blizard, Leroy Blizard, both of Texarkana, AR, and Pat Blizard of Grand Saline; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
