Beatrice LaVerne Bennett Brookshire
1932 - 2009

Beatrice LaVerne Bennett Brookshire, 77, passed away Monday, April 13, in Iowa Park.

Services were held Wednesday at Highland Cemetery Pavilion, with Rev. Greg Hardin officiating. Burial was held in Highland Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home.

Mrs. Brookshire was born March 12, 1932 in Oletha, Colorado. She had resided in Iowa Park 52 years and was a homemaker. She attended Grace Tabernacle Church (United Pentecostal Church) and had worked as a private duty nurse.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three children, Terry Ray Brookshire, Audrey Leanne Brookshire and Bennett Matthew Brookshire; two brothers, Dewey and William; and two sisters, Freda and Vivian.

Survivors include four sons Mikel “Budge” of Alvin and James Randall of Wichita Falls, Tracy of Cleburne, and Jeff of Iowa Park; two daughters, Peggy Lance and Christina Lewis, both of Iowa Park her husband, Ray of Iowa Park; three sisters, Ima Taber of Bixby, OK., Mary Radford of San Antonio and Shirley M owrey of Rockport; 15 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
