Dorothy Catherine Mathews, 90, of Garland, passed away Tuesday, April 7, in Vitas Hospice-Hearthstone in Irving.

Graveside services were held Friday in Lakeview Cemetery in Marietta, OK.

Mrs. Mathews was born March 1, 1919, in Rush Springs, OK, to Martin Henry and Mattie Rebecca Linzey Williams. She attended school in Rush Springs and later become a nurse, working in the health care industry.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alton G. Mathews on Oct. 26, 1959; and a daughter, Patricia June Mathews.

Survivors include a son, Roger G. of Iowa Park; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
