Rosemary English Garrison-Callaway
1937-2008
Rosemary English Garrison-Callaway, 71, of Iowa Park, and Lawton, OK., passed away Saturday, April 12, in Lawton.
Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, at the Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Lawton, with John Duvall, minister Seminole Point Church of Christ, Edmond, OK., officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Virgil and one sister, Emmalee.
Mrs. Garrison-Callaway was born on January 18, 1937, at Alba, to Joseph Wesley and Laura Lillian Alexander English. She grew up and attended school in Alba. She served as secretary of the Future Homemakers of America and graduated from Alba High School in 1955. She and Ervin Garrison Jr. were married in July of 1956 in Texas.
She lived in Santa Clara and Sunnyvale, CA. from 1964 until 1992. When she retired from the United States Postal Service as a clerk and postmaster’s secretary she returned to Wichita Falls and Iowa Park, where she resided from 1992 until 2008. She and Otho Boyd Callaway were married in July of 1989 in Oklahoma. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Wichita Falls.
Survivors include a son, Ray Loyce of Colorado Springs, CO; two daughters Robin Pettengill of Scotts Valley, CA, and Ronda Duvall of Edmond, OK; four brothers, Harold, Jesse, Calvin, and Kenneth; three sisters, Mildred, Laura, and Lynne; and nine grandchildren.
