Frank Melton Hodge Sr.

Frank Melton Hodge Sr., 87, passed away Tuesday, April 8, in Burkburnett.

Graveside services were held Friday, April 11, at Burkburnett Cemetery with Rev. Bill Liggett officiating.

Mr. Hodge was born April 7, 1921, in Fort Towason, OK., to the late George W. and Holly (Smith) Hodge. He and Verga Lee Corley were married January 2, 1943. She preceded him in death in 2007. He served in the United States Air Force and retired after 20 years of service. He later retired from Civil Service. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Burkburnett where he sang in the choir. He also enjoyed playing the guitar.

Survivors include two sons, Frank M., Jr. of Spicewood, and Melvin E. Burkburnett; a daughter, Angelia Gibbs of Iowa Park; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
