Patsy Ruth Brown Matthews
1936-2008
Patsy Ruth Brown Matthews, 72, of Iowa Park, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2008, in Wichita Falls.

Services were held Tuesday, April 15, at Hillside Baptist Church with Bob Webb, Pastor of Hillside Baptist Church, officiating. Interment followed in the Electra Memorial Park under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

Mrs. Brown was born March 11, 1936 in Harrold, to Clyde Oscar Brown and Callie Thompson Brown. She and Bill Foster were married in 1954 and he preceded her in death in 1966. In 1979, she married Guy Matthews in Electra. He preceded her in death July 6, 1993. Mrs. Matthews was a resident of Harrold and Electra for most of her life and was a waitress. She was a member of Hillside Baptist Church.

She also was preceded in death by one brother, J.D. Brown; one sister, Reba Smith; one grandson, Billy Joe Foster; and one great-granddaughter, Alyssa MacMillan.
Survivors include four sons, Billy and Terry Foster, both of Electra, David Foster of Iowa Park, and Rickey Foster of Mineral Wells; one daughter, Jo Collins of Electra; four sisters, Ernestine Hampton of Lawrenceville, Georgia; Charlene Smith of Bedford, Martha Lipford of California, and Avis Brown of Santa Fe, New Mexico; two brothers, Bobby Brown of Harrold, and Donnie Brown of Meridian, Mississippi; twenty seven grandchildren; and thirty great-grandchildren.
