George Taylor
1924 - 2009

George Taylor, 84, of Wichita Falls passed away Sunday, April 19.

Services were held Wednesday in the chapel of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home.
Interment followed in Riverside Cemetery in Byers.

A son of the late James May and Daisy Irene (Mahurine) Taylor, he was born June 4, 1924, in Clay County. He and Myrtle Balch were married Feb. 14, 1970, in Henrietta. He was a self employed cement contractor and farmer. He was a member of Faith Lodge No. 1158 AF&AM. He enjoyed fishing, walking his cats and dogs, and watching football, especially the Iowa Park Hawks and Cowboys.

Survivors include his wife of Wichita Falls; his daughter, Peggy Patterson of Granbury; a son, Glenn of Iowa Park; stepson, Randy Dunson of Wichita Falls; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
