Darlene (Bohannon) Cope
1935 – 2014

Darlene (Bohannon) Cope, 78, passed away Sunday, April 20.

Services were held at Lakeview Church of God in Iowa Park, Wednesday, April 23.

Mrs. Cope was born Aug. 2, 1935, in Duncan, OK., the daughter of Aubrey Lee and Zona Bohannon. She graduated early from Iowa Park High School in 1952, and was a resident of Wichita Falls.

Darlene married James Gordon Cope of Kamay, on Dec. 31, 1954. She was a secretary at City View Independent School District and retired after 30 years of service and was a lifetime member of the Church of God.

She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; and two sisters, Eva Jo and Frankie Lee.

Survivors include her children, LaDonna Hamilton of Lubbock, and Jimmy Cope and Pam Morgan, both of Wichita Falls; five brothers, Aubrey Carol Bohannon of Iowa Park, Bobby Bohannon, Dale Bohannon, and Dean Bohannon, all of Lubbock, Gordon Clark Bohannon of Levelland; three sisters, Loretta Chandler of Wichita Falls, Sharon Kay Trentham of Louisville, KY., and Gayle Fletcher of Henriette; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were: James Riley Cope, Rustin Morgan, Danny Snook, Ryan Anderson, Don Bohannon and Gary Chandler.
