Alma (Lowe) Bennett
1927 - 2011

Alma (Lowe) Bennett, 84, formerly of Byers, passed away Monday, April 19, in Wichita Falls.

Services were held Friday at First Baptist Church in Byers with Rev. Ken Johanan officiating. Burial was held in Waurika Cemetery in Waurika, OK.

Alma was born March 14, 1927, in Hastings, OK., to Loyd and Ola (Willis) Lowe. She married Charles Bennett Nov. 20, 1979 in El Paso. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Byers since 1962. She was a member of the Petrolia Senior Citizens and delivered Meals on Wheels, a member of the Petrolia Eastern Star, and a member of the Byers Women’s Club. She had been a resident of Byers 47 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 2001; a son, Alan Craig on July 15, 2009; and a sister, Nora Thomas.

Survivors include three sons, Roy Craig of Cleburne, Weldon Craig of Byers, and Leslie Craig of Wichita Falls; two daughters, Belva Faught of Iowa Park and Sharon Grubbs of Burkburnett; 18 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

The family suggest memorials be made to First Baptist Church of Byers, P.O. Box 287, Byers, Tx., 76357.
