Virginia M. Gant, 80, passed away Thursday, April 26, in Wichita Falls.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at Tenth and Broad Church of Christ in Wichita Falls, with Mr. Larry Suttle officiating.

Interment was held at the Lake Creek Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home.

Virginia was born Nov. 11, 1931 in Chillicothe, to Hubert and Jessie (Chandler) Collier. She was an avid trapshooter who was a member of the NRA, the Iowa Park Gun Club, and the Texas Trapshooting Association. She enjoyed spending her time sewing, spending many hours at ACE Sewing Center, taking classes.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Ross Eugene “Gene” Gant.

Survivors include two daughters, Lisa McGee of Wichita Falls and Kara Gant of Iowa Park; two sons, Richard McBay of Wichita Falls, and Roger McBay; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
