1935 - 2017

Robert “Bob” Maurice Gibson, Sr., 82, of Kamay, passed away Thursday, April 27, at his residence.

Graveside services were held Monday in the Garden of Love at Crestview Memorial Park with Chaplain Harvey McMurry, officiating.

Arrangements were under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.

Mr. Gibson was born March 23, 1935, in Paris, to the late William Roy Gibson, Sr. and Bertha Mae (Williams) Gibson. He was employed at Dr. Pepper Bottling Co. in Wichita Falls, retiring with over 30 years of service. He was a longtime member of City View Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Annie Lee Gibson; four brothers, Roy Jr., Felix, Edward and Herschel; and a sister, Evelyn.

Survivors include his sister, Mary Francis Clark; his children, Anna Staley and Deborah McElhannon, both of Kamay, Martha Gibson of Colorado, and Robert M. Gibson, Jr. of Wichita Falls; and three grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to Beyond Faith Hospice, 3508 McNeil Ave., Wichita Falls, Texas 76308.
